update updates
#1. new phone - SGH-F480.touchscreen.5megapixel.pink
i kinda lurve the camera :D
touchscreen not very sensitive. so when i'm in the bus and it's jerky then pretty hard to taptap. lol
#2. First day of work
met boss. colleague.big boss.
pretty small dept they've got there since it's pretty new but with such a small dept, they manage to build a WWTP in China alr. and it's just operating...pretty cool!
so i've a handful of things to do.. i guess nus online journals will become a real great help now since it's reali time to gather knowledge on many many areas in water. There's alot!
First task: oil water separation... the only thing mention in ese mods were Prof obbard's oil spill whereby some microorganisms can play apart in this or just scraping off the top layer...so yah project time/report writing time again! -_-
Second task: plan training materials and ppt slides.. lol yet another ppt. this should be manageable compared to the first..haha since doing up training materials will not cost the company to lose money or watsoever....
Third task: maintainence of desalination plant.reverse osmosis.UF
and on top of all these, ballast water.....
lots to do!!
so the whole morning was an interaction period. pretty much he do the talking and me agreeing along or trying hard to recall wat i've learn. and seriously it's pretty lil when applied in real situations which makes me wonder.. years of studying juz isn't enough cos it's equivalent to touching the tip of some areas.. SOME! and i alr study till -_- dotz.
one question that reali struck me was "so how do you connect the different processes? do you place the pipe underground, middle, top??" and in sch, we were only taught flow diagram=random sketch..no pipings or watsoever. the placement of piping will kinda affect the contact time and yesh sch's case is assume CMBR lol... which not all plants do it.
yeps so that sums up my first day :D
